Ideal for sightseeing, the hotel is across from the Piazza Emperor Augustus with its grand dome. A few cobblestones away are the Spanish Steps. At the bottom of the steps is the popular "Boat Fountain" by Bernini. At the top is an ancient Egyptian obelisk, a 16th century church and a stunning view of the city. Behind it is the Via Veneto, the winding, tree-lined avenue that became a symbol of "La Dolce Vita."
Or take a short stroll in another direction from the hotel to the famous Trevi Fountain that has graced many movies including "Three Coins in the Fountain." Just beyond is the huge marble building nicknamed the "wedding cake." It is a monument to King Vittorio Emanuele, the unifier of Italy. In the same area is the Roman Forum and the Coliseum.
